FAQ

eos archive is a community-driven platform dedicated to documenting, promoting, and preserving subcultural events—everything from underground gigs and art shows to pop-up exhibitions. We originally started on Instagram and Telegram but are now building our own digital off-space.

Subcultural communities often rely on word-of-mouth and short-lived promotions. By creating a dedicated archive, we preserve event art and cultural memory that would otherwise vanish. We also provide a space free from corporate algorithms, fostering genuine creative expression and community connections.

We launched in 2022 in Leipzig, Germany, initially as a grassroots project on social media. Since then, our community has grown to over 6,500 engaged members, and we’ve archived 800+ events from 300+ organizers and venues.

eos archive was founded by Micky Arratoon, a passionate community member with deep roots in the local subcultural scene in Leipzig. We work alongside a network of organizers, venues, artists, and designers who contribute their events, artwork, and energy to keep the archive thriving.

Our mission is to create a digital commons that amplifies subcultural voices, supports grassroots art, and fosters solidarity across creative spaces. We believe in open, accessible information that helps people discover and engage with independent events.

We gather event information from social media (Instagram and Telegram) and through our submission form. Each week, we curate standout events that reflect the spirit of the subculture, showcasing diverse voices and highlighting lesser-known happenings.

Currently, eos archive is self-funded through personal investment and community contributions. We aim to stay independent and free from corporate sponsorships or invasive ads. Your donations help us maintain this independence.

Platform Development: Building features like the Spaces Map, Personal Collections, and advanced search.
Hosting & Server Costs: Ensuring a reliable, fast, and secure experience.
Community Outreach: Engaging with local organizers, artists, and venues to enrich the archive.

Beyond the MVP, we plan to introduce more robust event pages, user-generated collections, and community-driven features. Our ultimate vision is to build a platform that transcends borders, preserving subcultural art and events on a global scale.

Follow us on Instagram and Telegram for regular event updates. You can also subscribe to our newsletter or check our website for ongoing development news, donor milestones, and upcoming features.

Absolutely. You can help by submitting events, spreading the word on social media, or simply using the platform once it’s live. Every bit of engagement strengthens the community and helps us grow.
